This is the adult from the spittle bug froth we often see on plants. Their legs contain an engineeringly desirable composite material that can unwind to accelerate these fabulous 6mm long insects at 400g.

This fly was unconcerned by the camera about 60mm away it jumped from one place of interest to another. Investigating it at all angles, perfect for getting the shot of ones choice.
